Mario Maurer Scandal

I know, I know. He’s not Filipino. But he is surely popular in the Philippines. Mario Maurer became an instant sensation in the Philippines after the release of The Love of Siam, wherein he played a gay role. Since then, he developed a fan base among the gay market and eventually hitting mainstream with another Thai movie, Crazy Thing Called Love.

Mario had graced the cover of many sexy magazines but unfortunately for us, a full-blown sex scandal has not happened yet. I guess, we'll keep waiting.

Heart Evangelista Scandal

I have always loved Heart Evangelista. I had followed her career since G-Mik, where she portrayed Missy, love interest of John Prats’s character Yuan. She was a breath of fresh air. She was really pretty and although there was an air of “kaartehan” in the way she moves and talks, she was very, very likeable.

But a lot has happened to Heart since then. Heart and John Prats became an item in real life, they separated, Heart was then paired with Jericho Rosales for Panday, Heart and Jericho became a real-life couple, Heart moved to GMA 7 and under the management of Anabelle Rama, her character found a new life, Heart broke off with Jericho, she was paired a couple of times with Richard Gutierrez and blah blah. Heart has been around for so many years and her career see-sawed like hell. But she proves to be formidable and strong.

In her many years in showbiz, some of the biggest hurdles she has faced were pretty scandalous. One of the most unforgettable was her alleged “pregnancy” during Panday days. Heart denied this but you know people, they will believe what they want to believe. After the denial, the grapevine produced more rumors.

Heart was also subject of criticism after dumping Anabelle Rama as her manager and decided to be managed by her mom, instead, which sent the former to a fury. Heart had been called “walang utang na loob” and “ingrate,” which is pretty natural in local showbiz. What is it with talent managers in this country that they expect their talents to stay with them forever? Duh.

Anyway, the most recent (and probably the biggest) scandal involving Heart Evangelista was the rift with Temptation Island co-star Marian Rivera. Marian and Heart said to have had a misunderstanding on the set of the movie and was not able to resolve it fully. Upon arrival at the airport, rumor has it that Heart’s mother shouted at and badmouthed Marian, which she did not appreciate. The issue exploded as more and more details were uncovered. Unfortunately, Heart was on a vacation in Brazil with boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga (another hottie!!!). Heart’s Twitter account started posting ugly and tasteless messages about Marian but Heart claimed her account was hacked and that’s exactly what she was threatened with before. When Heart arrived in the Philippines, she called for a press conference to clear her name. Whew! That was a pretty big trouble.

Billy Crawford Scandal

He has been gaining weight but he is still one of the hottest singers in the country. Billy Crawford started out as a child star but eventually rising as an international act. After years of being away, Billy decided to come back to the Philippines and pursued a career in his homeland.

Today, Billy is regularly seen on talent search Showtime, reality franchise Pilipinas Got Talent, and musical variety show ASAP. He is in a long-term relationship with singer-host-actress Nikki Gil. Not including the minor rift with mentor German Moreno, Billy Crawford has not been in any alarming controversy or scandal.

He was linked with Bangs Garcia recently but the issue died a natural death soon enough because there was no truth in it. Other than that, nadah. Although he once posed for Cosmopolitan (Cosmo) Bachelors Centerfolds a few years ago, there aren’t many sexy or even shirtless photos of Billy Crawford on the web. And the sad part is that his photo on the Cosmo Bachelors showed only his back and arms. We appreciate the tattoos but man, show us more. Haha. Been wanting to see that chest. Hmmmm.

John Estrada Scandal

John Estrada isn’t a young star. Honestly, in my world he already belongs in the DILF category. You know, Daddies I’d Love to F***. But that’s the thing about John Estrada --- he doesn’t seem to grow old. Or let’s say that he does, he’s still as hot as any young hunk out there, if not hotter. That lean, slender body. Those very masculine ways. That towering presence. He seems like the kind of man who is game to do some dirty things in the bed. Damn you, Priscilla Mereilles, damn you. Haha. Just kidding.

But really, he’s spanking hot. But John Estrada has been involved in so many controversies and scandals in the past. Too many, if you ask me. Topping the list was the separation with Janice de Belen, his ex-wife. John allegedly cheated on Janice with Vanessa Del Bianco, which was pretty scandalous. John and Vanessa became an item and stayed together for years but they still called it quits eventually.

Another scandal that John Estrada got tangled up in is with Gretchen Barretto when photos of them kissing at a restaurant spread like wildfire online.

Aside from his lovelife, his career had also been subject to a number of controversies as host of the now-defunct noon-time variety show MTB: Magandang Tanghali Bayan with Willie Revillame and Randy Santiago. They were suspended a few times because of the sexual subtext of their jokes and punchlines. Recently, Willie Revillame, a TV host and major douchebag, talked to him on the phone LIVE and ON AIR, after learning that John accepted to host Happy Yippie Yehey, Willie’s previous home network.

John Prats Scandal

Call him small, call him short, call him vertically-challenged but no one can deny that John Prats is a sexy, sexy guy. I don’t know what about him exactly that delivers the goods but there’s something about John that makes me want to make love to him every time I see him on TV. Maybe it’s the MAD dancing skills, our the Moreno complexion, or the charming smile. I dunno. I’m not sure.

As far as scandals are concerned, this little guy is quite silent and uninvolved. He had never been a part of any shocking or major controversy. The biggest could have been the breakup with Rachelle Ann Go, which was said to have been caused by an affair with Bianca Manalo. Both John and Bianca denied this. What frustrates me the most is that there are not many shirtless photos of John Prats around the cyberspace. I’d love to see more of him especially when he’s dancing. Uuuurgh!

Paulo Avelino Scandal

His transfer from the Kapuso to the Kapamilya Network caught everyone off-guard but it was nonetheless smooth. We think the big move is good for him as we are pretty sure ABS-CBN could give him roles that are not just big but also challenging. He’s doing well so far in his short and sweet appearances in some of the Kapamilya shows including 100 Days to Heaven and Walang Hanggan.

Paulo has been involved in a few scandals already, the biggest of which was his getting LJ Reyes pregnant. It was a big shocker that time since neither of their careers had actually taken off and there they were sabotaging it in a way. But because of his charisma and sex appeal, Paulo slowly but surely climbed out of it and made a name for himself. His work in indie movies had given him a chance to prove his acting skills.

But what we loved most about his resume is his Bench photos and billboards made him a favorite among the gay market. Who wouldn’t get turned on by his underwear pictorial with his dong easily traceable on his briefs! Yum!

JM De Guzman Scandal

One of the most promising young actors today, JM De Guzman is set to become the biggest male star in showbiz. He has it all --- the looks, the talent, the X factor. I didn’t realize he was the guy in Last Supper Number 13. He had a, well, bigger presence then. But now, he is hot hot hot.

After landing a supporting role in My Amnesia Girl and a lead role in Cinemalaya’s Ang Babae sa Septic Tank and the 2011 remake of Mula sa Puso, JM led the cast of Angelito, Batang Ama, a drama series on ABS-CBN. It’sa big role that we’re surely gave justice to.

Fortunately for JM, he has not seen himself in a scandalous problem. So far, at least. My love for him is beyond lust so here’s hoping it will stay that way. But if a nude photo of him comes out, then who am I to complain. LOL
